Took a break from making boot cuffs & finally used the extra yarn to create leg warmers! You can create any of my boot cuff patterns into leg warmers by knitting more rounds 🙂

I made these for myself ! And I can not wait to wear them – Great for yoga & lounging, will look great with boots as well!

Yarn: medium worsted weight; approx. 260 yds

[Red Heart Soft in Chocolate]

Needles: Size US 8 / 5.0 mm circular 16″

Materials: stitch marker

scissors & tapestry needle

cable maker [paper clip]

Gauge: 12 sts & 24 rows = 4 inches

Final measurements:

Circumference- approx. 12 inches

Length- approx. 17 inches

The pattern:

Loosely CO 40 st.

Place stitch marker & join the round.

Begin 2×2 rib pattern. (optional)

6 Rounds: *k2, p2*

Begin cable pattern.

Rounds 1 & 2: *k8, p4, k4, p4*

Round 3: *c4b, c4f, p4, k4, p4*

Round 4-6: *k8, p4, k4, p4*

Rep rounds 1-6 for desired length. [I repeated 14 times and ended on a round 4]

Begin 2×2 rib pattern. (optional)

6 Rounds: *k2, p2*

Bind off. [k2tog tbl, slide st back on L needle]

Pattern Notes: If you need to adjust the stitch count, you will have to alter the pattern. To create smaller boot cuffs, you can take a purl stitch out of the pattern and if you need a bigger cuff add stitches to the knit 4 section.

Ok, I’m pretty much obsessed with these boot cuffs. They are oh so cozy and I have been wearing them all the time. I love wearing them with my yoga leggings to keep me warm. Great to wear for bowling as well 🙂
